Our purpose

Archery setup involves measurements, manufacturer limits, and calculations that can be difficult to compare across different sources. We built Archery Calculators to put useful calculations, charts, and reference guidance in one place and make the assumptions behind them easier to understand.

We do not present Archery Calculators as a certified coaching service, pro shop, testing laboratory, or bow and arrow manufacturer. The site is operated as an independent tool and reference resource. Where a result depends on manufacturer guidance, we point visitors back to the current manufacturer source for final confirmation.

Some tools are direct physics or arithmetic calculations, some interpret published manufacturer charts, and some provide clearly labeled planning estimates. We describe those differences instead of treating every output as an exact specification.

Our calculators and guides

The site includes calculators, charts, tuning references, buying guides, and setup tools for compound, recurve, longbow, traditional, and crossbow users. The homepage contains the complete current directory.

How our methods work

Different tools require different kinds of evidence. Direct calculations such as kinetic energy, momentum, FOC, and component weight use published equations or transparent arithmetic. Manufacturer-dependent tools use current charts, selectors, manuals, or specifications where available. Planning tools that do not have a universal industry formula are labeled as estimates, with the assumptions explained on the page.

We review technical pages against primary sources where practical, test representative inputs and edge cases, and document important assumptions or limitations on the page. A review date means the method or source was checked; it does not mean we physically tested every bow, arrow, or product mentioned.

For details on how we choose sources, check calculations, handle corrections, and use the word "verified," see How We Verify Our Calculators.

Final equipment fit and safety decisions should still be checked against the current manufacturer documentation and, when appropriate, with a qualified archery pro shop or coach who can inspect the actual setup.

Privacy and data

Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to our server as calculator data. No account is required to use the tools.

The site does use third-party measurement technologies, including Google Analytics and the Pinterest Tag, which may process technical visit, referral, device, browser, and cookie-related data according to their own policies and our configuration. If you email us, we also receive the address and message you choose to send.

For complete details, read our Privacy Policy.

Affiliate disclosure

Archery Calculators contains affiliate links to Amazon and other retailers. If you follow an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not change calculator formulas or source selection. When a tool depends on a manufacturer chart or technical specification, the calculation is based on that published source rather than commission rate. Retailer availability can change, so shopping links are provided as optional next steps rather than proof that a product is suitable for a particular setup.

We do not claim to personally test every product linked from the site. Verify current product specifications, compatibility, and manufacturer limits before purchasing or using equipment.
